Google Chromecast & mini freezes

Hello. im not sure which version of Chromecast I have. but im streaming from my android phone to my smart TV.

(ive been advised that once the connection is made, my phone can be turned off & the TV will receive the programme direct off the net.)

However recently i keep getting min-freezes. it plays 5 seconds of the TV/movie, then freezes for half a second then plays 10 seconds etc, then another freeze.

my internet speed is 1############Mbps

im wondering if anyone has an idea on how this is resolved. How do i find out if its my TV, chromecast, or internet/wifi thats at fault?

PS Why has "google" got different formats for its forums, for each topic ? Its very confusing & annoying ..

I am real sorry about the late response, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that freezing issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, as I know freezing really bugs me as well. Let me just ask you some questions about what's happening:

When did this issue start happening?
What is the firmware version of your Chromecast?
Does this occur on certain apps, or all apps?
Would you be able to post your internet speed again? (The forum seems to have blocked out the numbers...)
What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?
