Chrome cast not casting

Hi there,

We are having problems every time we try to use the chrome cast.

The light is white. It is connected to our WiFi. Same WiFi that my phone is connected to.

However, every single time we try and use it we either can’t, or the casting sign suddenly shows up ages after trying - I’ve unplugged it etc.

It always shows as disconnected on the Google app even when casting too.

any ideas? Feels like a waste of money tbh

When did this issue start happening?
Are you connected to a 2.4GHz network, or a 5GHz network?
If you are connected to a 5GHz network, is the channel range set to a lower range? (36-48)
Are you cable to connect using another device, such as a computer or tablet?
What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?
