the light continues to be a solid white light for the 3rd straight day. I take out the batteries & put them back in it still has white light. Have tried different batteries and get the same result. I cannot cut TV or device on. Please advise

Since this thread hasn't had activity in a while, we're going to close it to keep content fresh. If you're still having trouble setting up your Chromecast, please give these steps a try:

Test the Voice Remote with new or good batteries. Replace the batteries with new ones (1.5 volt AAA batteries). {Note: Change both of the batteries. Do not change only one of them}.
Reinstall the batteries after 5 minutes.
Unpair and reset the Voice Remote, then pair it back.
Factory reset the Chromecast device and factory reset the Voice Remote again.

If the issue persists, feel free to submit another post and provide as many details as possible so that others can lend a hand. Hope this helps!
