Chromecast remote not connected

My Chromecast remote doesn't pair to the TV even though the batteries still work. The LED pulses when I remove the battery, hold the Home button, and put the battery back in. Every other time I've tried to control the Chromecast using the remote it's unresponsive. The remote doesn't respond to Bluetooth pairing on the actual Chromecast device, when I hold the Back and Home buttons together.

Try forgetting your remote and repairing. Doing that fixed my remote and it paired right away.

hayleyb and Hemialha, how's it going? Do you still need help? If yes, please try the steps below:

Replace all batteries at the same time. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not use lithium-ion or any other batteries with rated voltage above 1.5 V.
Reinstall the batteries after 5 minutes.
Unpair the Voice Remote. Here's how: On the TV interface, go to Settings > Remotes and Accessories > Chromecast Remote > Forget.
Reset the Voice Remote
Pair the Voice Remote again.
If the issue persists, reset the Chromecast device.
