My chromecast is set to an old internet, and whenever I connect it to the new network, its saying my phone needs to be connected to the same network? However, I can’t connect to the chromecast unless I’m linked to it through my wife settings, so because it’s connected through wifi I can’t connect to my wifi for it to be the same as the chromecast, never been so comfused

Have you attempted a factory reset on the Chromecast?
Are you able to forget the network via the Google Home app?
What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?
