Can't connect Chromecast

I have a first generation chromecase that won't connect to wifi. I downloaded google home app and did a reboot on the chromestick but the app won't find my devide. Just "looks" and can't find in. Any ideas?

I'm sorry to hear that your Chromecast is having some Wi-Fi issues, I know from experience how hard it is to fix alone. So, I'd be happy to help! Let me just ask you some questions to better understand what's happening:

When did this issue start happening?
Was the Chromecast set-up already?
Do your devices meet the Chromecast requirements?
