I have recently received a Chromecast. However, when I watch a movie or tv, the picture disappears after some time to be replaced by (on my tv) a blue screen. Audio can still be heard.

If I use the Chromecast remote to turn the device off and on again the google tv home screen comes back and I can resume watching the film. However, the same thing can occur again later,

The effect seems to be independent of what streaming app I am using.

I can’t say that this always occurs after a certain time, but it seems to often occur near the end of a film just when it’s getting exciting - very annoying.

What’s going on and can I change it?
