Can't cast any more

I don't know what generation I have.

I can't cast anymore. I used to be able to bring up youtube music and hit the cast button. Then select my tv (which has a chromcast dongle), and it would appear on my TV. Now when I cast, it brings me up into a youtube app on my tv that looks as if I can navigate around, but I can't. It doesn't play what I'm casting. It's just a screen of the youtube app. Any attempt at navigating drops me out of casting. What's going on?

We hope you were able to get the help you need but if you're still having trouble, please reboot your Chromecast and reinstall the YouTube app. Resetting your Chromecast might also help.
