If you're still having trouble setting up your Chromecast, please give these steps a try:

Make sure your devices are within 15-20 feet of your router.
Toggle the Wi-Fi off and on from the set up device
Reboot your router and Chromecast
If you're using an iOS device, make sure Local Network Access is turned on for the Google Home app
Reset your Chromecast
