PC freezes

I have been having a problem with my PC freezing when casting. I mean nothing will work, no keyboard, mouse and of course no way to get into task manager. I spent hours trying to resolve this, uninstalling and reinstalling drivers etc. It didn't matter what browser I was doing this from. I was using chrome but the problem also occurred with Brave, Vivaldi and Opera. I removed my Chromecast from the TV and started casting to a firestick and have not had any problems since. If anyone has any possible solutions that I may not have already tried I would appreciate hearing about them.
