Terrible lag when casting from my laptop

I just bought brand new TCL android tv, with chromecast built-in. From the start, casting from laptop to the tv is impossible, it's ridiculously slow and unwatchable. No matter if I cast tab from chrome or whole screen, or a video from VLC player, it's slowed down. My internet and wi-fi are fast, and laptop casts everything fine to a Grundig tv, also android. Casting to TCL tv from my phone is also fine. I updated whatever apps and system apps I could on TCL tv, it just fixed the issue when chrome couldn't see the chromecast, but not the lag. Is there anything I can do to make it cast ok?

We hope you were able to get the help you need but if you're still having trouble, please give these steps a try:

Make sure your devices are within 15-20 feet of your router and connected to the same network.
Reboot your Chromecast, router and casting device.
Toggle the Wi-Fi off/on on your casting device.
Turn off power saving mode.
Perform a reset on your Chromecast built-in TV.
