Do you have another tv that you can test the unit on, to ensure it is the chromecast that is causing the issue and not the tv?

I have just bought a chromecast and I've managed to set it up and link it to my TV and WiFi, but after a few minutes watching whatever I'm streaming, the image starts flicking and eventually it ends up showing the kind of gray dotted screen you see when channels are not tuned (I don't don't know how to describe this). I then have to turn everything off and start again after a long while for it to work again, only for a few minutes before it does the same all over again. Any ideas?

Are you using the included AC power adapter or are you plugged into a USB port on the TV? if using USB, please use the AC power adapter, as the USB port may not be providing enough current or may be a diagnostic port not a true USB.

Hey, I am using the power adapter indeed. It works for a while then it turns into that kind of white noise screen thing (I really don't know how to describe it!) 🙂
