Can you lock the buttons on the Chromecast Remote?

I find the buttons are really sensitive and accidentally get pressed quite often. Is there a way to lock them temporarily?

No, I'm sorry, there is no way to lock them temporarily.

Depending on what kind of phone or tablet you have, you may be able to use the virtual remote:

I personally like it better and I really enjoy when I can use a keyboard for searching instead of having to pick each letter.
