I currently bought the 3rd gen chromecast, did not realise it did not come with remote. Can I set it up with a replacement remote, as I absolutely hate using the app on phone

Hi Shankz,

It is only the Google Chromecast with TV that can be used with a remote, all other Chromecast devices can not.
