Input button not working

I got all functions working on my remote BUT one, I can't change input to switch from streaming to live tv, pressing the button just doesn't seem to do anything, any ideas what's wrong?

Thanks for reaching out. Quick questions: what's the brand of your TV? Have you already set up the input button on your remote? If you haven't yet, please check the steps below to see how:

To start setup, turn on your Chromecast > at the top right of your TV screen, select your profile > Settings.
Select Remotes & Accessories > Set up remote buttons. You will now be on the remote buttons setup screen.
1. If you haven’t added a device yet, you will need to add one before continuing. Select Add a device > your device type > your device brand.
From the remote control setup screen, select Input.
On the remote, press the Input button > switch through all the TV inputs.
1. If the input button works, be sure to switch back to the HDMI port where Chromecast is connected to.
Under Did the input button work?, select Yes or No, try again.

Important:

You must point your remote at the device for input to work.
The remote won’t be able to control input of some devices and/or models.
