my chromecast is built in to my smart TV. everything works great except other people can access my chromecast even though I have that option turned off. does anyone know how to stop that from happening?

Chromecast is designed so that anyone on the same WiFi network can cast to it without restriction. You can't change that.

Guest Mode (which you can turn on/off) is something different. That lets people that are NOT on your WiFi network but close to your TV be able to cast.

The only way to stop those people is to get them off your WiFi network.
