Remote is burning hot

Within 30 seconds of adding new batteries, the remote is actually so hot I can't hold it. Just under the pad between the back and voice buttons. It doesn't once new batteries are inserted.

Thank you, I've seen multiple posts but no replies as to the solution so figured I would ask for help and how to contact CS. I've tried going through the web portal but it was an endless loop. Yes, thank you, I have filled out that form and am awaiting a reply.
