CCWGTV stuck in ambient mode

Recently, when I turn on my TCL series 5 and switch to the CCWGTV, it is already in ambient mode and will not respond to the remote, except the left and right arrow buttons to change the pictures. The only way to return it to the main screen is to pull the power cord for a few seconds. I've adjusted the settings on my TV for HDMI input but that did not fix the issue. Is this a known problem and is there a resolution? Thank you.

Thanks for reaching out. Try the steps below:

Reboot your Chromecast.
Try to plug in your Chromecast into a different HDMI port on your TV.
Plug in your Chromecast on a different TV screen if one is available.
Factory reset your Chromecast.
