Chromecast freezes

New Xiaomi 4S 55 TV. Sometimes detected by cast from Chrome on laptop, sometimes not. When detected I can cast to the TV screen but picture is frozen. I have tried clearing the cache, disconnecting the TV from power, even disconnecting ad reconnecting wifi. Yesterday I did a factory reset after which I updated all apps including Chromecast built in.

Chromecast did work a few days ago. Distance between source and TV is unchanged, in fact nothing has changed except that Chromecast no longer works. Please assist.

This is an update to my recent post. Chromecast is now working fine. But that actually bothers me more because I did not do anything to the TV or to my laptop to fix it. I jut thought I'd try my luck and try to cast. It worked like a charm. There have been no changes to the network or download speeds (checked regularly). Both laptop and Tv have been all the time and no adjustments made.

This makes the problem unpredictable.
