Chromecast recording?

Can anyone tell me why when I mirror my phone screen to my Chromecast it automatically says it's recording and there seems to be no way to stop it? If I choose cancel, it stops casting, not recording. This is new since the last time I mirrored to cast

It says "casting OR recording", its a warning that while you are casting your entire screen, the receiving device will be able to see everything on your screen.

Thank you! Even though there is the red cast symbol in the upper right corner it's not recording? That's great. I appreciate your time
