I am experiencing similar issues to those posted at https://support.google.com/chromecast/thread/114253429/chromecast-w-google-tv-is-terrible-at-casting-and-is-not-well-integrated-into-my-home-or-assistant?hl=en.

Casting doesn't work, at best it is very unreliable. I'm getting no help from Google support. Is Google doing anything to improve the casting functionality in Chromecast with Google TV?

For example, if I say to my Nest Hub, "Hey Google, watch CNN from YouTube TV on 'name of Chromecast with Google TV'" it does not work. It simply opens the YouTube TV app on my Chromecast with Google TV, it doesn't actually play CNN.
