Chromecast with Google TV Audio Issue with Soundbar

I have an audio issue with my LG OLED TV and Vizio soundbar. The Chromecast is plugged into the TV, and the audio is connected from the TV to the soundbar via HDMI. When waking up or powering on the Chromecast and TV, occasionally there is no sound from the soundbar. I either need to reset the Chromecast from the system menu or unplug and replug in the soundbar for sound to return.

Any suggestions?

I own a Vizio SB3651 soundbar... It's a nightmare. Same issue you have.. have replaced through vizio support and done all firmware updates and resets.. sadly its just something we live with now.

Saying that..try hitting the volume up button on the soundbar when this happens..that makes it work for us!

Dang it! That's what I was afraid of. Yeah, sometimes I can get it to come back with the volume up. My wife isn't as forgiving. I appreciate your help on this and the HDMI question.

I will say that I was using the TiVo Stream device before I switched over, and it never had this audio issue. I stopped using the Stream because of some very frustrating HDR problems.

I have to admit it has made me think about switching soundbars again.. I upgraded from an old lg model that would make subtle noise from the subwoofer when no sound was playing. Love the sound with the Vizio but the power saving functions don't seem to work right.
