Chromecast remote won't pair.

Tried various tips found online but I've given up.

This maybe because I'm a newbie. I've always used Roku, on which you can install multiple apps easily and the remote works straight out of the box. Seems like all you can do with a Chromecast is cast from another device?

Close to binning the Chromecast and going back to Roku.

Hello Benware,

There is a simple way out to fix this.

Add your phone as remote
Then simply go to remove the current associated remote and add it again.
There might be a pending update. If any are available, Install the update
Now hopefully the remote works correctly. I hope this helps.

benware, hope that helps but if you're still experiencing an issue pairing your Chromecast Voice Remote with your TV and your TV has a built-in Roku, please select Roku (not your TV brand) as the device brand then, set up the buttons on your Voice Remote by following the steps here.
