      <title>Chromecast 3rd generation problem</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Just got a new chromecast 3rd gen.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Connected the device to hdmi port on the tv, ac connection as well.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;installed Google home on my android cell phone, and started to setup the device.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Google home detected the new device, configured, connected it to wifi, updated the sw, and ends the setup process.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;After that I tried to connect and start using it, and on Google home app, i'd "click" on the device name newly configred, first a "Connecting..." message appear followed by a&amp;nbsp; "Not Available". (Can't see device on this WI-FI network...).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I doublechecked my phone is connected to the wifi, and get back on google home and check on settings/rooms.../device/device settings/devicename/device Information/wi-fi/ and is the same as in my phone.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The led in the chromecast is white.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'd restarted the wifi modem, inmediately in the TV&amp;nbsp; shows chromecast trying to connect to wifi, eventually connects.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;And then it begins...device not available on Google home.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I already reset factory 3 times, and also in one of them tried to configure it with an iphone...and the story is the same.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can someone help me with this issue please?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any help will be much appreciated.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Thanks for reaching out to the Chromecast Community and I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Chromecast. Let's sort this out.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;A few questions: what's the LED status on your Chromecast (solid or blinking)? How far is your Chromecast from the Wi-Fi router? Are you using a dual band router?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Try these steps:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;OL&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Make sure the Chromecast device is within 15 to&amp;nbsp;20 feet of the setup device and the Wi-Fi router.&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Toggle Wi-Fi off&amp;nbsp;and on from the setup device. Once on, make sure the phone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast.&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Reboot your mobile phone.&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Close and then reopen Google Home app.&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Turn on Local Network Access for iOS devices. Here's how: Go to phone settings &amp;gt; Tap Privacy &amp;gt; Local Network &amp;gt; Make sure it is turned on for the Google Home app.&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Use a different supported mobile device.&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Do another factory reset on your Chromecast, then try to connect to the Chromecast SSID. Here's how: Go to the phone&amp;nbsp;settings &amp;gt; Open Wi-Fi and connect to the Chromecast SSID (Example:&amp;nbsp;Chromecast1234, Living Room TV, Bedroom TV, etc.) &amp;gt; Go to the Google Home app and try to set it up again.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/OL&gt;
