Chromecast with Google TV won't turn off TV

Just got a Chromecast with Google TV because my LG smart TV's remote sucks. However, after setting up my Chromecast with Google TV, it will not turn off the TV, it just goes to LG's home screen, and I have to use the LG remote to turn off the TV. LG smart tv is less than 6 months old if that helps.

Hello Chtis,

Thanks for reaching out. Please try to remove your TV under the remote and accessories setting and re add it, then set up the Voice Remote buttons. Plugging in the Chromecast into a different HDMI port on your TV might also help.
