Chromecast with Google TV not recognising SD card

Hi all,

We recently purchased the Chromecast alongside a multi-port USB hub but the device will just not recognise the SD card in the hub. When plugged into the computer the SD can be read via the hub, it has also been formatted to fat32, but still, nothing. Any advice? The Chromecast device has been fully updated. Please help!!

Same issue here, every video showing this trick is made a Anker usb c hub what is your brand ?

Thanks for reaching out. Your current hub may be compatible with your computer but not on the Chromecast with Google TV. You may try to use a different hub and test. Also, you may check this support website article to learn more about expanding your Chromecast's storage.
