Chromecast Connectivity

Is it possible to connect the Chromecast device to an Epson Projector directly so I can use Wi-Fi to stream presentations to the Projector from a Laptop or Phone. The Epson Projector has a HDMI connection ?

The Projector itself has no operating system but the devices I will pare with the Chromecast obviously do.

Although not supported by Google yes, many people have successfully done this over the years.

WBowyer, I hope that answered your question, but please still take note that this may or may not work since the Chromecast devices are intended to be plugged in on a TV screen.
