A weird icon appears on chromecast screen. Devices cannot find he chromecast.

Hello. My Chromecast was working fine until yesterday and suddenly I unable to cast anything because Home says the device is offline. A weird icon (broken picture?) Also appears beside the network name. I tried all the troubleshooting (resetting both the chromecast and ny router, changed wifi network, etc). The weird thing is i cam control the Chromecast volume from the home app, but can't cast. Can't find the debice from my PC, ipad nor pixel. please help.

Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. Let's check this further.

A few questions: what type of Chromecast device do you have? Has there been any changes in their network? How far is the device from the router?

Try these steps:

Uninstall and reinstall the Google Home app.
Forget the network on your casting devices and reconnect it.
Reboot your casting devices.
Try to plug in the Chromecast into a different HDMI port on your TV.
Reboot your Chromecast.
Do another factory reset on your Chromecast.
