Google TV remote dead! Cannot use Google TV!

My Google TV remote stopped working. Tried fresh batteries already. Nothing. It's light won't even turn on. Tried to reset the dongle and now I cannot use it. Tried adding to my Google Home app but it won't find it. I'm stuck. The dongle keeps asking to link the remote and it is dead.
