Chromecast remote not working

hi there,

I have been using my Google Chromecast for about 8 months, and the remote was using batteries, first it was every month, then it went down to every 3 weeks, every 2 weeks and so on, this happened progressively until i replaced the remote batteries, and then the remote got hot and wouldn't work any more. is there a fix for this? it seems to me that the remote is defective.

I'm sorry to hear that your Chromecast Voice Remote is having issues! With what you described, I imagine the remote is defective as well. Would you be able to fill out this form to have Chromecast Support reach out to you?
