remote issues

We have 2 older chromecasts w/remotes and 1 new one with remote. Plugged new chromecast into an older LG tv and went through setup. Initial remote setup was ok with remote used to turn tv on/off. Next day remote wouldn't turn tv on; had to use tv remote. Then had to press home button on cc remote to bring up main screen. Attempted to reprogram remote for on/off function but it wouldn't take.

Bought a new tv with google tv. Could not program cc remote for tv. Don't know what fix is.

Also, we subscribe to youtube tv and the icon for YTTV shows on the screen but doesn't work.

Hey there rrose,

I'm sorry to hear that your Chromecast Voice Remote and LG TV aren't playing nicely. I'd be happy to help you look into this, as this can be tricky to troubleshoot. Let me just ask, what model of LG TV do you have? Also, have you tried using IR for the remote to see if that works better? Sometime, with older TVs in particular, IR seems to function better.

As for the YouTube TV issue, I would try uninstalling and re-installing the app, then try it again. If it gives you any specific error message, let me know.
