The firmware update to Android 12 doesn’t appear to be available. Is it b being rolled out by region? If so can you advise when Australia will receive the update? If not can you advise why the update is not available from the UI

Welcome to the Chromecast Community Forum! As far as I am aware, the Android 12 update should be rolled out to Australia by now. Here is how to check for updates:

Go to the home screen of your Chromecast with Google TV.

Choose Settings System About System update.

Well funny you should ask, it was curious that literally a day after I sent that question the update became available. Coincidence … maybe but odd that I had manually forced the system check for about 10days straight before that and no update was available 😮
