Can't cast from phone after using built-in app

I have a new CCwGTV. It works fine with the built-in apps and also when casting from my phone, but I can't switch between the methods. In particular, XFinity Stream does not have a compatible Chromecast app for my TV so I need to cast from my phone. If I have used the built-in YouTube app, the Chromecast will not switch over to using my phone. If I want to switch to casting from the phone I need to disconnect the Chromecast power and restart it.

There has to be an easier way to switch between installed apps and remote casting. How do I do that? I can't believe I have to cut power to the dongle every time I want to change the casting source.

Hi jacqueg,

That certainly hasn't been easy for you ― to verify, are you not able to see the Xfinity Stream on your Chromecast with Google TV? If you take a look at this link, then search for Xfinity Stream, it might show up.

It started working suddenly without me doing anything. On reflection, I can only guess that my phone connected to our guest network without my knowledge. It doesn't usually do that, so I always thought it was still on our primary network. I should have checked. I knew that was important but I shouldn't have assumed anything. I now double-check when the connection fails. I'm a little embarrassed.
