Chromecast stopped displaying on tv

Chromecast has suddenly stopped working. Have tried other devices through the HDMI port on tv and they work.

The tv appears to detect the Chromecast (input = Player 1 Chromecast) but nothing is showing on the screen.

Can connect to Chromecast from my mobile to stream and appears to work fine, but nothing is showing on the tv screen.

Have hard reset the Chromecast. Have hard reset the tv AND the Chromecast AND wifi but still no success.

Any tips? Thanks.

Have you tried factory resetting the Chromecast?

Thanks for the reminder. No I hadn't, I just did it and a brief grainy flash of 'google' flashed up on the screen while it was restarting. But then back to the same Black screen.

I can't reestablish the Chromecast connection between phone-tv-wifi now as can't see anything on the tv screen.

You mentioned using other hdmi devices on that TV. Did you try that Chromecast on a different TV? If that doesn't work then I'm guessing something broke on the hardware.
