If your chromecast is no longer on your wireless network or is having issues with casting the best thing to do is factory reset it , https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/6254654?hl=en-CA&co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid

Once it is done, you will be able to set it up from scratch and get it running once again.
