Dears,

My device doesn't connect automatically to the internet unless I set the time manually.

I think that the Google TV Chromecast cannot reach the NTP server configured in the settings by default.

Is it possible to change the NTP server?

Moreover, the colored button of the remote control (Google assistant button) doesn't response unless the device is connected through VPN.

Does this mean that Chromecast is banned in Syria?

Thanks for reaching out to the Chromecast Community forum!

The Chromecast devices don't support the use of VPN's. It is recommended to be connected to a home Wi-Fi network where the VPN setting is disabled in the Wi-Fi router.

Also, Chromecast devices aren't officially supported in Syria so other features may or may not work.
