Disable YouTube suggestions in Chromecast Ambient Mode

Is there any way to disable the “Top Stories for You” from appearing in Chromecast’s Ambient Mode? It is constantly suggesting news videos from a particular network that I never watch and never will watch, but it is always suggesting videos from that channel

Why can this not be tuned or influenced in some way? Is Fox News paying Google to sort their stories to the top and showcase them to millions of screens?

We hear you. While there's no option to disable this in the Chromecast with Google TV device, you may try to check with YouTube if they have an option to turn this off.
