I am looking out for an Chromecast device for my Intex LED old tv with HDMI port.I have android phone to connect .

My queries

1)Will my old LED work as smart tv with Chromecast 2 ?will Chromecast 1 also ? what's the difference between two

2)will this connection require 2 android devices or one

3)pls provide me with link to buy genuine Chromecast 1 or 2 suitable as per your recommendation ,and price

4) will there be installation and troubleshooting guide and charger for device come alongwith device or have to buy separately

Google no longer sells the older Gen 1, 2, 3 or Ultra models of Chromecast.

Both of the current models on the Google Store require a TV with High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) 1.3 or higher built-in. HDCP 2.2 is required to support 4K content. Most televisions that are 5 years old or newer and have HDMI ports will have at least one port that supports HDCP 2.2. For 4K content, you need a 4K-capable TV and high-speed internet connection of at least 20 Mbps. For High Dynamic Range (HDR) content, you need an HDR-capable TV.
You need one Android phone/tablet running Android 8 or later, or an iPhone/iPad running iOS 14 or later.

Are you referring to 2 n 3 as the current ones, I could see them on flipkart and surprisingly 2 is expensive than 3 ,so wanted to confirm.I want it because my tv is led tv and I have data to spend.

Another query is you mentioned that only one Android device is needed right,so can we use data on the same device and make hotspot to Chromecast will it work like this

Google themselves now only sell Chromecast with Google TV (HD and 4K models). You'll still find the older Chromecast models from other retailers.

No. One device is required if you're going to connect Chromecast to a normal Wi-Fi network with a functioning internet connection. If you want to use your phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot, you'll need two devices.

Turn on the Wifi hotspot feature on a phone or tablet. If you're not sure how to do this, refer to the manufacturer's support website.
Connect a second phone or tablet to that Wifi hotspot.
You can then use that second phone or tablet to setup your device and connect it to the Wifi hotspot on the first phone or tablet.

Hi David, thanks a lot for the detailed explanation.I checked my Intex LED 3221 ,it is having 3 HDMI ports ,supports 1080P but manual does not mention about HDCP compliance,I came across one of the Google nest blog it says if it supports 1080P,it will have HDCP compliance at least lower version to work successfully with Chromecast .

And it was bought in 2018 but don't have manufacturing date.

Now I tried to reach customer care today but no luck , so my query is it has HDMI PORTS total 3 , how to find out about HDCP and if it has HDCP lower version that is 1.3, can I connect Chromecast 3rd generation available,I mean I will be able see HD content or not, not 4K obviously !

Will it 3 Rd generation work successfully with HDCP 1.3 FOR HD CONTENT?

It is highly likely it will work yes, but to be totally sure I'd suggest contacting the TV manufacturer or checking their online support documentation.
