Chromecast 4.0 - does it support A2DP Bluetooth profile?

I'm considering buying a sound bar to my TV room but I wanted to check if it will work with my Chromecast first.

A sound bar I'm thinking about is Creative Stage Air V2. I mailed Creative asking if this model supports Chromecast but it turns out that they didn't test those two devices yet.

However, Creative support claims that if Chromecast is using A2DP Bluetooth profile they should pair and work correctly.

Does anyone know if that profile is supported in Chromecast?

(or already is using that sound bar with Chromecast and can share some info about it?)

Are you goint to use the Chromecast and the soundbar on a TV?
If your TV supports ARC that is the best way to get your setup up and running.

Connect your Creative Stage Air V2 with a HDMI cable to the ARC port of your TV.
Connect the Chromecast Google TV to a different HDMI port and you are good to go.

Firstly, my TV is quite an old model so basicaly I'm using Chromecast just to have access to all of the smart TV functions. And secondly, I don't want to drag additional cables in my room so bluetooth audio would be a perfect solution. It would allow me to put the soundbar in a best suitable position without extra cables laying around.

So answering your question: No, I'd like to use it just as it is - Chromecast plugged to TV by HDMI and a stand alone soundbar pairing with Chromecast by bluetooth. That's the way I'd like it to work.

Sure that is totally up to you how to listen to music/sound. 😉

I just wanted to point out a better quality solution to connect a soundbar.
But Bluetooth should work just fine as A2DP is the audio standard for using audio on Bluetooth. 😊
