Google Chromecast does not detect an ethernet cable

We have had this Chromecast working over WIFi fine. Unfortunately due to an unstable WiFi connection we were experiencing lag. This made us want to switch to an Ethernet connection, but when I go to the network & internet settings it does nog detect an ethernet cable.

With the link above you can see the product that made me able to theoretically connect over ethernet.

Doen anyone else experience this issue? Has anyone found a way to solve it?

if it's just USB type c Ethernet adapter it won't be work on every TV because it requires to install the drivers to work with it. If you want to connect Ethernet on CCWGTV (chromecast with google tv_ your best bet is buying USB type c hub with gigabit Ethernet on it. You have to be careful though because a lot of company claims that they have gigabit Ethernet connection but most is 100mb so carefully read review before you purchase one..

Is there a product you would recommend? Since the one I bought also promised gigabit ethernet.

for USB c hub I'm using

sometimes with default charger TV and chromecast won't start so you will need higher w USB type c charger if you have extra one from your phone purchase it won't be necessary but I didn't have one, so I bought.

other thing, I guess you will have extra USB storage stick around that's all the require upgrade.

Good luck... I guess there would be much better product, but I didn't want to spend too much money, so that's what I'm using now.
