My Chromecast remote won’t work.
only the volume buttons work. Is there an answer for this. ???

Hey, I have the same problem, a few weeks ago it was working and now it tells me that I cannot use the virtual remote control from google home.

did you find out any details?

Hi folks,

Thanks for reaching out to the Chromecast Community forum! Try the following steps listed below and let me know how it goes:

Remove and replace the batteries in the Chromecast Voice Remote.
Move the remote closer to the TV.
Move the dongle away from other HDMI cables.
Move the position of the dongle, then flip it over.
Factory reset the Chromecast Voice Remote.
Factory reset the Chromecast with Google TV (4K).
