How does an Android Samsung phone stream to Chromecast with Google TV

May I ask how does my Android phone stream its content to a "Chromecast with Google TV" when playing a 4K video? A decoded 4K 60 fps video on my cell phone has a lot of data to stream to a TV through Chromecast. Can Chromecast use WIFI to stream from my cell phone ? Can the WIFI (802.11ac) stream 6 Giga bit per sec ?

3840 pixel width x 2160 pixel height x 60 fps x 12 number of bits per pixel = 6 Giga bit per sec.

4K video only uses about 25-30 megabytes of data per second so your phone, wifi, and internet connection should be more than capable.

May I ask what video compression is using across my Android cell phone and the Chromecast in order to have only 25-30 Mbytes of data per second being sent between them?

Is it VP9, AV1, or what ?

I'm not really sure since I use an iPhone, but from what you can find on the internet, streaming 4K60P video uses just 30 mbps. YouTube recommends a 50 mbps connection to stream 4K.

If you want the detailed specifications of the different protocols and media types, I would recommend that you check out this Google Cast documentation. Specifically, the sections on Supported Media and Streaming Protocols. They vary a bit a depending on what Chromecast device you use.
