Extend usb-c cable on ethernet adapter

I have just bought the ethernet adapter for Chromecast 4 from the google store. This gives both internet and power. Is it possible to use a usb-c extend cable on this? Orginal is too short. Or will this not work?

It should work.

But, the quality of the cable may actually have an impact. Try it and make sure to buy from someone that you can return the cable to if it doesn't work.
