Chromecast with Google TV remote stopped working

My chromecast with Google TV remote stopped working this morning. I changed the batteries out. Still wouldn't work. I have been trying to re pair it but nothing's working. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do?

Hi ForRyan,

Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. Please try the additional steps listed below:

Reinstall the batteries after 5 minutes.
Unpair and reset the Voice Remote, then pair it back:
a. On the TV interface, go to Settings > Remotes and Accessories > Chromecast Remote > Forget.
b. Perform a factory data reset (FDR) on the Voice Remote: Remove the batteries for 5 minutes > Hold the Home button while you reinstall the batteries > When the LED starts to blink, release the button.
c. Pair the Voice Remote again. Refer to Set up Chromecast with Google TV and Voice Remote.
Factory reset the Chromecast device and the Voice Remote.
