Google TV in South Africa

Good morning and Happy New Year

I got my Chromecast with Google TV yesterday and all my apps are working and Incan stream on them all. But the For You, Movies and Shows tabs are not showing.

As well, when it go to the My Services section in Settings I only have access to NetFlix, Amazon Prime and Apple TV, but Disney+ is not showing up.

On the Search section only shows NetFlix.

I would like to know if this is the expected behaviour in South Africa or am I missing something?

Hi SexyVexy,

Thanks for reaching out. The Chromecast with Google TV devices aren't officially supported in South Africa. You may still be able to set it up since it's a plug and play device, but some features might not work.

You may try to reboot your device and plug it in on a different HDMI port. Resetting it might also help. If it still doesn't work, I'd suggest you send feedback about this via Google TV.

Hi Jennifer,

Seeing as it is only the the For You section and the integration to Disney+. I am not sure how rebooting or changing the HDMI port would help.

But the fact the Google TV is not fully supported may explain it. It would be grate to be able to see a road map of when it will be fully supported in SA.
