&lt;LI style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Make sure your Chromecast is within 15 - 20 ft (4 - 6 m) of the Wi-Fi router. If you have a dual band router, try to set up your device on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Njc99, we hope that helps but, if you're still having trouble setting up your Chromecast (1st gen), please manually connect to the Chromecast SSID. Here's how: go to the phone settings &amp;gt; Open Wi-Fi and connect to the Chromecast SSID (Example:&amp;nbsp;Chromecast1234, Living Room TV, Bedroom TV, etc.) &amp;gt; Go to the Google Home app and try to set it up again.&lt;/P&gt;
