Chromecast doesn't transmit SSD

Hi,

I can't connect to my Chromecast.

I've got my Chromcast plugged into the TV and it comes up with Chromecast front page, which is odd as I haven't given it any wifi details, also annoyingly I forgot to bring the remote controller (I'm at my in-laws.) . The thing is I can't connect to it at all, either via Google Home App on my phone or the Google TV remote.

I've tried resetting, and gone from orange to slow pulsing white led without success. Another thing, the Chromecast doesn't transmit an SSD, so I can't connect to it via that either??

So in a nutshell I'm stuck! Any help gratefully received.

Thanks for reaching out. To confirm, is your device a Chromecast with Google TV? If yes, please be advised that in order to set up your device, you need to have the Voice Remote on hand as you need to pair it with the Chromecast with Google TV. Check out this support website article to learn more.

Hi Jennifer,

By the time I got your response it was too late. I've since reunited the remote with the CC and its working fine.
