chrome on my laptop can’t find or cast on my chrome cast what should I do?

Try these steps:

Make sure your Chromecast is within range of the Wi-Fi router so it has a good signal.
Reboot your router. Most routers just require that you unplug the power source and then plug it back in to reboot.
Reboot Chromecast by removing the power cable, then reconnect it.
Make sure you're using the latest version of Windows and Chrome.
Restart your laptop.
