Chromecast tv Continue watching tiles won’t hide

when a show is watched for example through Netflix it shows under Continue watching , I wish to hide this show so I hold down select on the remote and options show as hide or cancel ? Selecting hide removes the show momentarily and then it reappears ! How do you hide the show and stop it from showing in continue watching . Sometime I just don’t like the show and don’t want to continue so should be able to hide ! This used to work and now it does not ! Any solutions I have facility reset and restarted both options do nothing to help

Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. May I know what type of Chromecast with Google TV do you have, is it the 4K or HD version? Please check if the software of the Chromecast with Google TV is updated. If it's up-to-date, please try the additional steps below:

Power off the TV > unplug the TV and Chromecast from the power source and HDMI connection.
Wait one minute > plug the TV and Chromecast to the power source > wait 1 minute.
Power on the TV > connect the Chromecast with Google TV device into a different HDMI port on your TV.

If the issue persists, please do another factory reset on your device. Here's a guide: How to factory reset your Chromecast.
