Factory reset fails chromecast google tv

My Chromecast looks to be completely stuck. I cannot do a factory reset. All I get is a G on the screen.

Loops like I'm not the only one.

It's just over a year old.

mines currently doing similar. i reset it yesterday and it worked then today it says it’s not connected to wifi but i reset the whole thing yesterday.
